👩🍳 STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
--------------------------------------------------
Step 1: Preparing the Cake Batter
1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (or preheat a large pot/patila on medium heat for 10 minutes). Grease a baking pan with oil and dust it with flour.
2. In a large bowl, beat the 4 eggs and powdered sugar together using an electric beater until thick, fluffy, and pale yellow.
3. Add vanilla essence and cooking oil. Mix gently for just 10 seconds.
4. Sift all-purpose flour and baking powder into the wet mixture. Use a spatula to fold the dry ingredients gently using the "cut and fold" method. Do not over-mix, or the cake will become hard.
Step 2: Baking the Sponge Cake
1. Pour the smooth batter into the prepared baking pan.
2. Bake in the oven at 180°C for 30-35 minutes (or in the pot/patila on low heat for 40-45 minutes). Insert a toothpick in the center; if it comes out clean, your sponge cake is perfectly baked.
3. Let the cake cool down completely, then cut it into two or three equal layers horizontally.
Step 3: Whipping the Cream & Assembly
1. In a chilled bowl, whip the cold whipping cream until stiff peaks form.
2. Place the first layer of sponge cake on a cake board. Soak it generously with the sweet pineapple juice/syrup from the can. (This makes the cake super moist!).
3. Spread a thick, smooth layer of whipped cream, and place finely chopped pineapple chunks on top of the cream.
4. Place the second layer of sponge cake on top and repeat the soaking and cream layer process.
Step 4: Shaping and Decorating the Heart Cake
1. Frost the entire outside of the cake with whipped cream using a spatula.
2. To shape it into a beautiful heart, place fresh yellow pineapple chunks in a neat heart outline on the top surface. Fill the center with more cream or pineapple.
3. Use a piping bag with a star nozzle to make beautiful cream borders around the edges of your heart cake.
Your stunning and delicious Homemade Bakery Style Pineapple Heart Cake is ready! Chill it in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before cutting so the layers set perfectly. Enjoy!
